What is the most important thing
about your walk with Christ?
I know that no matter what He is always
there. He will never leave or forsake me. He is the absolute most
consistent thing in my life. Even when I'm not consistent with him.
What convinced you of the truth in
Jesus?
I always felt like there was something
missing in my life. I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. One
day in highschool a friend shared the Four Spiritual Laws (Campus
Crusade) with me. It suddenly just all made sense.
When, why, and how do you pray?
I try to pray first thing in the
morning. Sometimes it's the last thing I do at night. Since praying
is talking to God, it's something I tend to do all day long, like
having an open dialogue with someone. I pray because Jesus did. I
pray because I need God's guidance daily. I pray because it is a way
to express my praise, thanksgiving, and adoration. It is a way to ask
for forgiveness, to confess, and to ask for help.
What denomination, if any, do you
belong to, and why that one?
I was born into, and raised, in the
Methodist church. I started working for the Methodist church while I
was in college. I was the Youth Coordinator. I believe in the
Methodist doctrines (most of them), and it seemed like the right
thing to do. I am currently attending a non-denominational church.
What do you think it will be like to
exist in heaven, and who are you looking forward to seeing?
I think that it will be nonstop praise
and worship of God. Our bodies, but renewed. No sickness, pain, or
death. I look forward to meeting Jesus, martyrs of the faith, African
missionary pioneers.
What is your favorite biblical verse,
and why?
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all
things through Him who strengthens me.” Because, here Paul was -
going through all of these hardships, and yet he knew it was nothing.
He knew that God would get him through.
After you’ve left this world to be
with the Lord, what do you want people to say about you? What should
be the first sentence of YOUR biography?
I want people to say that I was a
prayer warrior, that I didn't let my disability stop me from doing
what God called me to do. I want that first sentence to be something
like, "Throughout her adult life, Nicole struggled with many ups
and downs, but she always came back to one thing.”
