What is the most important thing
about your walk with Christ?
To try to be as close to being like Him
as possible. Because the Christians walk in truth even when it is the
hardest to stand up for what the truth is. We, as sinners, try to
distort things, saying that our faults and failures are okay. The
devil uses this to make us think that we’ll get into heaven, even
if we spend our physical lives misbehaving. The devil also tries to
tell us that good works and moral living are the keys to salvation.
And like-minded people out there also think that just because you
claim to be a Christian and because you go to church, that God has a
special place for you. All of these falsehoods work at leading people
from the path of Christ. There is another way, however.
By walking with Jesus, I use His
judgement to discern between good and evil, because he is the only
one who truly knows the difference. Would Jesus treat someone this
way? Would Jesus expose his family to all of the indecent trash that
comes through the media outlets? Am I making the correct decision,
based on Jesus’ perception of truth? If not…forget it! I’m
choosing the light instead.
What convinced you of the truth in
Jesus?
My mom took me to church when I was a
kid, and she taught me all about Jesus, but I didn’t really have
him in my heart. One day I had a dream that started me down the
Christian path. It was at a time when I had lost all hope, and the
next morning in church my dream was validated. At that point I knew
that God was trying to connect with me. I had to trust in Him
unconditionally, and give up my old sin-filled ways.
When, why, and how do you pray?
I pray all the time. Wherever I am,
just all the time. I do it because I’m heeding God’s Will when I
pray, and the results prove it. I pray in all forms, verbally,
physically, spiritually, kneeling, sitting, driving. I pray for all
kinds of things, especially when I pass by accidents or see people in
some sort of distress.
What denomination, if any, do you
belong to, and why that one?
I started with the Independent Baptist
Church, but over the years I’ve gone to several places. If the
organization matches up with the way I interpret the bible, then I
typically stay for a while. You always have to be open when you find
a new church community. It's best to let God show you where to be.
Currently I attend a Nazarene Church, but of course I don’t believe
that one particular denomination has any edge over another. In the
end it will be about your faith, not the organization.
What do you think it will be like to
exist in heaven, and who are you looking forward to seeing?
Jesus first, of course. Then my mom and
dad, and all the family that are there as well. I just can’t wait,
because there will be no sickness, or pain. Everyone will be happy,
and content in God’s Love. I have visions of walking by crystal
rivers with Jesus, and enjoying the heavenly dwellings and golden
streets that He will provide.
My dad was an extremely mean person on
Earth, but before he died he accepted Christ, so I’m truly looking
forward to being with him in his new Christlike state.
Everyone will love one another. There
will be surroundings with beautiful adornments, like those never seen
on Earth. Everything we will possibly need will be right there for
us, provided by our Heavenly Father.
What is your favorite biblical verse,
and why?
Psalm 116:8 “For thou hast delivered
my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.”
When Jesus saved my soul from death it truly was salvation. An
eternal life with Him that will never end. There is eternal death for
all, whether it is with Him or with those that will perish in the
Lake of Fire.
He truly has saved me. He has turned my
life around in an incredible way. I got so alone in this world. I
built up all of these invisible walls. Even the Holy Spirit had a
tough time getting through! I had gotten to a point where I trusted
no one. I had believed the devil’s lies for so long. I actually
wanted to die. The devil had me fooled, like so many others. He truly
is the father of all lies.
After you’ve left this world to be
with the Lord, what do you want people to say about you? What should
be the first sentence of YOUR biography?
She Loved her Lord Jesus and tried to
help others to see the Love of God.
