What is the most important thing about your walk with Christ?

When I strayed from His path He guided me back. I know that I can trust Christ to never lie to me and never leave me. I have trust and faith that God will restore my marriage. He has given me hope, faith, dreams, and beliefs.

What convinced you of the truth in Jesus?

Praying, listening, and reading the Bible.

When, why, and how do you pray?

I pray every moment of quiet time. Whether I am doing the dishes or watering the yard. I take every opportunity to give praise to Christ. I pray with prayers, I pray by just listening, and I pray by just having a conversation with Christ.

What denomination, if any, do you belong to, and why that one?

Catholic. I was born Catholic and believe the sacraments are so precious and so beautiful and I believe in each and every one of them. In taking Communion I am receiving Christ’s body and blood into my body. I feel refreshed in my faith when receiving his body and blood.

What do you think it will be like to exist in heaven, and who are you looking forward to seeing?

I think heaven will be splendid. It will be more beautiful than we can ever imagine. I am looking forward to seeing my mom the most.

What is your favorite biblical verse, and why?

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” I have this verse posted on the wall of my office and I carry a 3x5 with the verse on it, because it is the verse I am standing on while waiting for God to restore my marriage. A month or so after my husband left my sister-in-law said I needed to find a verse to stand on, so I opened my Bible and read until He said stop.
That is what I did and I continue to stand.

After you’ve left this world to be with the Lord, what do you want people to say about you? What should be the first sentence of YOUR biography?

I want people to say that I was a strong Christian woman, who in the face of adversity walked strong in her faith, and believed and had hope in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ! When faced with adversity Kathy turned her life over to the Lord. She realized she was no longer the driver of her life, but that the Lord now had the drivers seat and Kathy was now the passenger.
